Meet Pauline Travis Smith:
Pauline was born in Manchester, England, just over ninety years ago. During WWII she served in the Royal Air Force transmitting secret coded messages to bomber pilots as they flew over Germany. In 1945, she married an American serviceman and came to the USA, settling in Coventry, Vermont. When she was thirty-four, her husband passed away, leaving Pauline with three children in her care. Then, for the very first time, she entered the workforce securing a job at the local radio station writing on-air commercials. Working hard to support her children, she progressed to creative writing for a television station, an advertising agency, an incentive company, and farther. Ultimately, Pauline progressed her career to the illustrious position of Corporate Vice President at Tiffany & Co. in New York, NY. She is a vibrant and elegant lady, well-loved by all who have crossed her path. Nine years ago, Pauline was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. She now receives loving care from her adult children and family. She also loves a visit to The Original Pancake House in Roseville for the best breakfast in town!
